Disposable gloves

The use of disposable gloves does not change hand hygiene, but the use of disposable gloves and hand washing can prevent further spread of micro-organisms.

Use of disposable gloves:

• • Wash hands before wearing disposable gloves
  • Gloves must be of an appropriate size
  • Gloves for single use only
  • Damaged or torn gloves are discarded
  • The wounds on the hands must be applied to waterproof material or patch and then put on gloves
  • When handling food directly after each action, gloves must be replaced (after handling the raw material, before handling the food for consumption)
  • The gloves should be taken off when touching objects, equipment (telephone, computer) in the environment and new gloves should be used while continuing.
