Conclusion

Thank you for completing your Food Safety & Hygiene training. As we mentioned at the very beginning, food is both one of life’s necessities and one of life’s greatest pleasures. It’s crucial that you keep it safe to consume at all times. As a food handler, this is a legal obligation that you have. Contamination can take place during the manufacture, transport, preparation, storage, cooking, selling and serving of food; and whatever parts of the process you may be involved in, we hope that this course has given you the confidence and knowledge to work in a way that prevents anyone from being harmed by food. Never forget, that if you have any concerns, if you or someone you’ve come into contact with have been unwell, or there has been an incident in your workplace that compromises the safety of food, you must report it to your supervisor. Equally, share your ideas with your supervisor if you recognise anything that could do with improvement – whether it’s cleaning schedules, food preparation, reporting procedures, anything at all. By doing so, you will help to make the food and working environment safer for everyone. By implementing the practices we’ve looked at, you’ll be contributing to the good reputation of your organisation, strengthening your job security, protecting your customers from harm, and of course, helping everyone to enjoy their food – which is what it’s all about. Next up is the test, thank you for your time today.
